Aging in a Youth Obsessed Culture

Aging in a Youth Obsessed Culture

American society has an obsession with youth and perfection that makes it nearly impossible for a woman to reflect and  celebrate her  years of life and accomplishment.

The standards of perfection are set so high that even young women in full bloom cannot meet the unrealistic expectations.

Women are urged to fight age, and many feel pressure to lie about their age and those  in public-facing professions are especially vulnerable to anti-aging prejudice. Instead of us feeling more powerful with age, Western society tries to render us powerless and invisible.

As I celebrate another year of life, I feel an incredible sense of excitement about the future. I am not only older but bolder and wiser about how to navigate life and all the opportunities to come

I am currently developing a skin care line centering the needs of the mature woman. If you have any questions or would like more information on my regimen, shoot me an email at funlayo@shearadiance.com and type Skin Care Regimen in the Subject Line
