If I could sum up my time at CEO RISE by She-EO, an event hosted by the amazing Tope Fajingbesi Balogun, it would be this: laughter and Kleenex.
Being a panelist reminded me how powerful it is when women come together and get real. We laughed—sometimes until we cried. And we cried—sometimes until we laughed again.
There were stories of building businesses and chasing purpose, but also stories of navigating really tough seasons—raising kids through challenges, caring for partners, facing health battles, and somehow finding the strength to keep going.
It made me reflect on my own journey, too. The obstacles, the pivots, the moments that didn’t go as planned—those are all part of what makes us who we are. And they’re easier to carry when we have women beside us who remind us we’re not alone.
What made RISE so special wasn’t just the panels or the workshops—it was the sisterhood circles, the raw honesty, the hugs, and the relief of being in a space where you could just be.
