September is National Self Awareness Month, it also marks the beginning of kids heading back to school and people returning to offices during an ongoing pandemic, earthquakes in Haiti, terror in Afghanistan and concerns about social justice.
Let's face it, we have been through some heavy stuff in the past 18 months. Understanding the effect all this has on our mental and physical well-being is part of self-awareness.
Taking time for self-care is not a luxury but an investment in ensuring that we have the resources we need to care for ourselves and those who depend on us.
We all know that we can't pour from an empty cup and self-awareness can help identify what we need to keep our cups filled.
Here's to a great month of filling our cups to overflow!
